The Official Entry form for the upcoming 48 lap Big 8 Late Model Series presented by Gandrud Chevrolet event on Tuesday July 9 at the Milwaukee Mile during the Swiss Colony Howie Lettow Memorial is now available online at www.big8series.com. The event which drew 47 of the "Top Weekly Warriors" for the 2012 edition will once again start 40 cars with guaranteed starting spots tied to drivers' weekly performances at weekly short tracks across the region in addition to those that qualify in by time and race their way onto the starting grid through the last chance event. Jeremy Miller took home the winner's loot last June, the 2013 event will mark the richest payout in series history as the winner will not only pocket $2,000 but can build upon that total through the Weekly Warrior Wages Program, which rewards drivers for weekly and series wins, track point standings and Championships. An open practice is scheduled for Monday July 8 as teams and fans alike will be treated a 38 Special Concert that evening, all leading up to Tuesday's on-track action which will see the Big 8 cars join the ARCA Midwest Tour, Mid-American Stock Cars, Midwest Trucks and Vintage Racing. It has been announced by ARCA Midwest Tour Vice President Steve Einhaus that a group of drivers are currently putting together an open test for the upcoming Howie Lettow Memorial Race July 8th and 9th at the Milwaukee Mile, which includes the Big 8 Late Model Series presented by Gandrud Chevrolet.

After rain forced the cancellation of the planned Big 8 Late Model Series presented by Gandrud Chevrolet event on Memorial Day at Columbus 151 Speedway, it now appears the “Best Weekly Warriors in the Country” will have to wait until next season to test the tricky quarter mile oval.
Due to persistent wet conditions and the likelihood of more wet weather, today's scheduled Big 8 Series event at Columbus 151 Speedway has been postponed.
Track officials and Series officials are working together to find a suitable rain date.

2013 will mark the third straight year that the “Best Weekly Warriors in the Country” have made the Memorial Day trek to the tight, quarter mile located north east of Madison.
The Official Entry form for the May 27, 2013 BanditBlast being held at Columbus 151 Speedway is now available online at www.big8series.com. For the third consecutive year the Bandit division will join the Big 8 Late Model Series for a Memorial Day Monday visit to the 1/4 mile paved oval to contest a 30 lap feature event which pays $250 to win. Advance entries are just $30 and includes a driver pit pass.
