OREGON, WI. (Tuesday, June 30, 2009) – Inclement weather that was expected to continue throughout the evening has forced the postponement of the BRP Big 8 Series presented by Gandrud Chevrolet “Rockweiler 38” until Friday, August 14th at Madison International Speedway. Check www.madisoninternationalspeedway.com for more information on the event including updates on tickets.

There will not be another round of qualifying or last chance races on the rescheduled night. When the race is run, the field will already be set with Kyle Shear on the point and Casey Johnson on the outside of row one. Fast qualifer and Big 8 Series points leader Ross Kenseth will start 13th. 26 cars will take the green flag when the race takes place that night. 43 cars attempted to qualify for the race, setting up a stellar field of drivers come August 14th.
