Youth Racing, Series and Shocks to be Discussed at Racer’s Expo

Madison, WI- The Midwest Motorsports Racer’s Expo taking place this Friday and Saturday, January 8 and 9 at Madison’s Alliant Energy Center, Veterans Memorial Coliseum will feature a full day of Seminars beginning at 10am on Saturday. Topics of discussion include the first ever Youth Racing Expo, shock tuning and rebuilding as well as discussions regarding four Midwest based racing series. A strong showing of Trade Show Exhibitors and a jammed packed auction will fill the two day affair with something for everyone.

One hot topic this off season on dirt and asphalt has been shocks, Corey Flynn from QA1 will conduct a Shock Seminar at 4pm Saturday. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and gain knowledge as he and other shock specialists cover the basics as well as go in-depth in regards to these important tools.

The first meeting of the day will allow race teams to interact with officials from the brand new ASA Midwest Sportsman Tour that is slated to run at numerous weekly tracks this season. The Mid-American Stock Car Series will conduct their annual meeting at 11am for the popular touring group that will return to Road America this season as well as venture onto a dirt surface for their first time in 2010.

The much anticipated Youth Racing Expo will fill two separate sessions beginning at 1pm and 3pm. Representatives from many forms of youth racing including Legends, Go-Karts, Bandoleros, Super Cups, Allison Legacy as well as multiple sanctioning bodies will openly discuss the many positive experiences and opportunities for growth associated with this booming segment of auto racing. Anyone interested or involved in youth racing is encouraged to attend these gatherings.

Drivers, teams and car owners from the ASA Midwest Tour will participate in a 2pm meeting covering many aspects of the upcoming season for the popular Super Late Model series. A 5pm meeting for the BRP Big 8 Series presented by Gandrud Chevrolet will finish a full day in the Midwest Motorsports Racer’s Expo Seminar area, as officials will discuss topics such as tires, race procedure and the recently released 2010 rulebook.

Friday will see doors open at 3pm for the Trade Show and inspection of the auction lots with the first item going on the auction block at 4pm. Activities start at 8am on Saturday with the auction beginning at 9am, seminars begin at 10am while the Trade Show concludes at 6pm with the auction continuing until the last item sells, approximately 10pm.
