Rockford, IL- Both Madison International Speedway and Rockford Speedway will have the new Hoosier 800 tire available for purchase beginning Friday March 5. This will be the first chance for competitors to get their tires for the 2010 season, for use at many weekly late model tracks as well as in Big 8 Series competition.

Teams interested in acquiring tires can do so at Rockford Speedway’s Orientation meeting being held at Forest Hills Lodge on Friday night March 5 from 5pm-7pm. Rockford will also offer tires for sale on Thursday night April 1 at the same times. Madison International Speedway teams are invited to contact Dave Gruenberg at 608-513-2278 to schedule a time with him. The price for this tire is $95 with tax included.

The Big 8 Series season will open at Rockford Speedway on Sunday afternoon April 18 with the running of the 33rd annual Spring Classic. Racing will begin at 1pm, action will include the Mid-American Stock Car Series. For more information visit www.big8series.com or call 815-633-0035.
