West Salem, WI- It is now official, the BRP Big 8 Series presented by Gandrud Chevrolet will be competing on Saturday night October 4 in a 48 lap Championship Feature during the legendary Oktoberfest Race Weekend at La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway. In what event organizers are predicting will be a World Record number of Late Models, the fourth year series will join the ASA Late Model North Division and ASA Kwik Trip Midwest Tour.

Many feel that race fans will be treated to over 150 Late Models in competition on Saturday night at ‘Fest’. Last year saw an Oktoberfest record 51 Big 8 Late Models on a Thursday night attempt to make the 24 car field that was won by Andy Burgess. Look for records to fall as the Big 8 Champion is crowned, defending champ Jeremy Miller currently holds a slim margin over Michael Bilderback, Ryan Carlson and Ross Kenseth, all four drivers have recorded impressive wins in Big 8 competition this season.
