6:15 PM Update
Qualifying and Qualifier races have completed for the Big 8 Series at Rockford Speedway.

In the first qualifier, it was Travis Dassow winning the first qualifier heat with Brady Liddle in second and Skylar Holzhausen in third. Ryan Miles won the second with Kyle Shear in second and Tyler Sauter in third. Those six drivers advance to the 108-lap feature event later tonight.

Ross Kenseth won the odd qualifier and Mike Beyer won the even qualifier.

2:45 PM Update
Ryan Carlson led the field of 40 cars in qualifying for tonight's BRP Big 8 Series presented by Gandrud Chevrolet event at the 43rd Annual National Short Track Championships at the Rockford Speedway. Carlson had a fast time of 13.921 seconds and will receive a Nason's Landscaping Faster Than a Speeding Bullet fast qualifier award later today.

Current Big 8 point leader Jeremy Miller was second with a time of 13.939 seconds with Michael Bilderback in third with a time of 13.936 seconds.

Ricky Bilderback was fourth with a time of 13.947 seconds while Kyle Jarlsburg rounds out the top five with a time of 19.957 seconds.

Racing action will get underway at 5:05 pm with the BRP Big 8 Series presented by Gandrud Chevrolet highlighting tonight's action with a 108-lap feature event.
