SLINGER, Wis. (Sunday, July 17th, 2011) -- When asked to assess his chances before tonight's Big 8 Series presented by Gandrud Chevrolet Old Wisconsin Smokehouse 'King of the High Banks 88', James Swan simply pointed to the ten cars starting ahead of him and laughed. "I have no chance," he muttered. Turns out he was wrong -- the Slinger Super Speedway regular rolled through the field before utilizing a nifty bump-and-run move on defending champion Jeremy Miller for second with under 30 laps remaining.
LOVES PARK, Ill. (Thursday, July 14th, 2011) -- The 'World's Fastest Quarter-Mile' plays host to the Big 8 Series presented by Gandrud Chevrolet this Sunday night as the tour comprised of local stars wheeling devilishly fast late models makes its way to Slinger Super Speedway for the second rendition of the 'King of the Highbanks 88' presented by Old Wisconsin. An expected field of 30-plus cars from the Midwest's best local racetracks will take to the heavily banked asphalt oval for 88 fast paced laps in hopes of dethroning defending champ Jon Reynolds Jr.
