LOVES PARK, Ill. (Friday, January 22nd, 2010) -- The 2009 Big 8 Series racing season will officially come to a close tomorrow night, as the Forest Hills Lodge will play host to the 62nd annual Champions' Banquet. 2009 BRP Big 8 Series Champion Ross Kenseth will be on hand, as well as a strong contingent of Big 8 Series drivers and awards honorees. Also in attendance will be drivers and champions from the Rockford Speedway's past season.

MADISON, WI (Wednsday, January 6, 2010) - Midwest Motorsports Racer’s Auction officials have announced that Irish Saunders of Hoosier Racing Tires will be on hand to answer race team questions regarding the new Hoosier Tires being used at most of the Midwest Tracks this upcoming season. He will be at three of the meetings taking place this Saturday, January 9 that will take place at the new auction location, The Alliant Energy Center Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Madison, WI.

Rockford, IL- Multiple racetracks as well as the BRP Big 8 Series presented by Gandrud Chevrolet will utilize the new Hoosier 800 eight inch implement tire in 2010 for Weekly Late Model racing in Illinois and Wisconsin. The Hoosier Racing Tire compound will be utilized Fridays at Madison International Speedway and Saturday nights at Dells Raceway Park as well as Rockford Speedway.

Madison, WI- The Midwest Motorsports Racer’s Expo taking place this Friday and Saturday, January 8 and 9 at Madison’s Alliant Energy Center, Veterans Memorial Coliseum will feature a full day of Seminars beginning at 10am on Saturday. Topics of discussion include the first ever Youth Racing Expo, shock tuning and rebuilding as well as discussions regarding four Midwest based racing series. A strong showing of Trade Show Exhibitors and a jammed packed auction will fill the two day affair with something for everyone.

Loves Park, IL-Race fans should mark Sunday afternoon April 18, on their 2010 calendars. Rockford Speedway will play host to both the BRP Big 8 Series presented by Gandrud Chevrolet Late Models and Mid-American Stock Car Series during the 33rd annual Spring Classic on that day, bringing the Midwestern Short Track Community from hibernation to fascination.

GM Performance Parts has just announced a special rebate program to help circle tracks racers preparing for the 2010 season. As an incentive for current or new users of GMPP sealed circle track crate engines, GM Performance Parts will rebate $$$ directly to the racer for engines purchased December 1, 2009 through December 31, 2009. Steve Rubeck was the fast qualifier in Big 8 Series qualifying with a 20.247 seconds. Jeremy Miller was second with a 20.315 seconds with Adam Degenhardt in third with a 20.351 seconds. Mike Ehde was fourth with a time of 20.381 seconds and Skylar Holzhausen rounded out the top-five with a lap time of 20.413 seconds.
